I Still Have A Film Camera and It’s Awesome

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

With so many things happening around us when it comes to technology, sometimes it’s so hard to catch up with what’s the latest trends because there’s always something NEW every single time.

Gone are the days for song hits and staying up late just to watch your favorite music video to come up on MTV in the middle of the night cause why wait when there’s Youtube, right? Everything is so instant that we have forgotten what it feels like to wait. Read More

Shadow of the City Music Festival

Processed with VSCO with c7 preset

I was browsing through my external hard drive when I found these photos from my camera last June when my friends and I attended a music festival in New Jersey called Shadow of the City. It was organized and headed by Bleachers band vocalist, Jack Antonoff, which by the way was born and raised in New Jersey. He is so passionate about this festival cause he really wanted Jersey to be known as a place where people for good music and such.

Yo!

It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post. I’ve been tremendously busy these past few months (especially Feb and March). There are just way too many things that I need to take care of and I would love to share it here on my blog when it’s all settled. (Can’t wait!!)

Journal 101: How to Start Your #journaljourney

Processed with VSCOcam with q2 preset

If you have read my 2016 Goals — one of the things I included on my list is to keep a journal. I have always been fond of writing my thoughts ever since I was little. I remember having so many “Dear Diary” moments especially on high school. But for some reason I wasn’t able to find a way on making it as a habit.

Not until this year that I decided to make it happen. I was very motivated last year that I really want to start my 2016 right. And so here are my tips if you also wanted to start your own #journaljourney.

Roaming Around DC | Part One

9

Right after we arrived here in States, the next day we immediately went for our first ever adventure. My dad could not come along with us because of work and since my mom already filed for a week of vacation right before we came here, she is the one taking care of our itineraries for our first time touring the city.

First, our mom bought us a Metro card (sorry I have no photo) which is basically our LRT/MRT  card in Manila. Metro is what they call their subway. They are re-loadable either thru cash or card and very easy to use. At first, I cannot understand how color coding on their train works but since we’ve been into trains for a number of times now, I already understood it. They have electronic boards on how many minutes are left before the train arrives and they have an app for it too so you won’t get lost or confused with their stations and all. I know right? It’s so amazing.

Five Random Photos | Flowers

I skipped last week’s Five Random Photos due to our arrival here in States so I decided that this week’s photos will have a theme. Or maybe I will do it every week, you think? Sounds good.

There are way too many photos of flowers on my phone. I just love it like, SO MUCH. Though I am totally aware that I don’t really have a ‘green thumb’ then I’ll just buy fresh flowers every now and then. I remember saying to myself once that when I have my own home someday, I will surely fill it with flowers and candles. Yes, future goals.

I posted this on my Instagram few days ago, taken from the Basilica of the National Shrine here in DC.

Our First Day | #JAICELINAMERICA

6In my last post I have shared my story about my brother and I’s first airplane ride and it took me a whole week to write all about our first day here in States because I’m still experiencing jet lag, which means I spent nights and nights and nights on Twitter and Instagram. Sucker, I know.

Tips & Thoughts: My First Ever Airplane Ride

If you have read my previous post (or you are my friend or something), you probably know by now that we have left the Philippines and we are now here in America with my parents as I am writing this. This is once again long due post because I haven’t been successful battling with my jet-lag for the past 4 days and it sucks, yes.

When we left Manila, I was a mess. I’m crying all over the airport and I cannot even control myself as I am saying my last goodbyes with my relatives and Labo. It still breaks my heart thinking about it, but I’m in a positive outlook right now and I have no room for heartache *hihi.

Anyways, I took photos of my brother and I’s first ever airplane ride! We are so excited about it and we are very much thrilled by just looking at airplanes on the airport.

Five Random Photos: Week 2

I’ve started this series last week and from then, I’ve been looking through my hard drive for random photos that I can share here on my blog and luckily enough I found a lot. I found this series very therapeutic because I ended up finding myself down the memory lane as I laugh and feeling sentimental over photos that I have found. It’s amazing how a single photo can mean so many things and have tons of memories.

1. Carrot Cake Straight From America

I found this on my brother’s laptop that was given to him by my parents last year. It just happens to have a lot of photos from my mom and it turned out that it was given to her by one of her friends in one of her birthday. It looks so pretty.

1. The Ferris Wheel in UP Fair
